Benefiting Ukrainian Resistance Foundation & Kharkiv Special School for Visually Impaired Children.
As the war rages on in the heart of Europe followed by the unprovoked, unjustified and barbaric invasion of Ukraine by Russia, people all over the world have unified behind Ukraine and its people. Although much support is being facilitated at the U.S. government level as well as the private sector, with no clear end in sight, much more help is critical. We are committed to collecting the necessary funds for a very specific need. Your participation is instrumental.
To collect $1,000,000+ in donations for Ukrainian Resistance Foundation and Kharkiv Special School for Visually Impaired Children.
Kharkiv Special School for Visually Impaired Children was opened on January 20th, 1887 under the patronage of Empress Mariia Fedorivna and the Board of Trustees.
On January 24th, 1922 the school received the honorary name of V.G. Korolenko – a famous writer and humanitarian.
School houses over 12 different faculties: 2 gyms for physical development, children’s sport city. Our students have earned first places and recognitions in regional, national and international competitions in swimming, handball, gymnastics, chess. In 1991 we also opened a faculty of a Music school #13.
All classes for our students are free.
Our center for development and education has been recognized as one of the best in the country. Ministry of education of Ukraine had recognized our choir and orchestra as Outstanding Musical Groups. We also have a literature and language studio, three of its graduates had been accepted to a Ukrainian Union of Writers. We also collaborate with the US Educational Board and 18 of our students in the last 10 years won grants for studying in the US for a year.
Among our 399 graduates, 325 continued education in Universities, 6 became PhD candidates. Gained employment 281. Within the school there are functioning 1 work shop Library for the visually impaired children Medical office Ophthalmology clinic Dental office.
On March 2nd, 2022 school was heavily damaged by a Russian bomb. Children were in the basement of the building when the school was hit. Most of students were temporarily relocated to Lviv and are in dire need of support. School plans on rebuilding and bringing all of their students back as well as providing support and rehabilitation to children who lost sight or sustained traumatic eye injuries as a result of Russian war in Ukraine. School is also providing psychological counseling to children and parents beyond students and faculty states.
1922 – first elementary school fro the visually impaired children
1934 – the school was reorganized from just elementary education to a 7 year boarding school
1954 – school receives designation as a full school for the visually impaired children
1991 – school becomes a specialized boarding school. It opens a department of Music where 120 students are able to learn to play 15 different instruments and attend classes in music and choir.
2019 – school has grown to the staff of 100 among which are teachers, psychologists, rehabilitation specialists, medical professionals.

We provide a safe and reliable way to connect with hospitals, non-profit organizations, and volunteers in Ukraine through efficient and transparent communications and logistic networks. Our organization allows multiple nonprofit groups to safely consolidate their efforts to increase impact and improve efficiency in helping Ukraine - now and in a post-war period.
